The Board will grant the same support to building administrators and their designated representatives for legal protection against suit for personal liability for “off-campus” activities as for the traditional “on-campus” activities provided that:
The activity has been granted prior approval by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
The participating pupil has filed a written statement of permission from the parent/guardian.
Local field trips- a blanket permission form should be signed by the parents at the beginning of the school year. Parents will be notified at least two days prior to the “off-campus” activity.
Out of town field trips will require individual permission slips.
