South Portland Middle School (SPMS) is hosting a Community Open House and Dedication on Saturday, October 21 from 1:00-4:00pm with the formal dedication program taking place at 2:15pm.
Join us at 120 Wescott Road for informational sessions, student performances and tours throughout he afternoon!
Picture Day is this Wednesday, Oct. 11th! Everyone will get their picture taken. Smile!
In the Library this week 4th, 3rd and Kindergarten students collaborated to make a mural to brighten up the from entry of the building. The mural was inspired by the book Maybe Something Beautiful by Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell which was based on the art of Rafael López. (Who also illustrated the book!)
1st graders are enjoying using the new assesment tools in Seesaw to check their understanding of Short A sounds during Phonics to Reading.
Starting on October 13th, Kaler Kindergarten classes will have monthly nutrition classes with the Opportunity Alliance!
Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL this Friday, Oct. 6th because of a staff professional development day. Also, NO SCHOOL on Mon, Oct. 9th because of Indigenous People's Day.
