Last week, South Portland Middle School held its first Unified Basketball game! 🏀⛹️ Teachers Mr. Lenson and Ms. McNally have been working with the team to get them prepared. Both teams showed great sportsmanship! The next home game is happening next week on March 17 at 3:30 p.m. against Auburn. Come to the game and support the team!

Black History Month was celebrated in February at South Portland High School with a Spirit Week, a panel discussion, and an all-school assembly hosted by the SPHS Black Student Union (BSU). There was music by the SPHS symphonic band, poetry readings, and a spectacular dance performance. Thank you to the BSU for hosting and to students for supporting each other!

After a 14 week course focused on English and Hospitality, including mock interviews with industry professionals, all 11 South Portland Adult Education students achieved certificates from the American Hotel and Lodging Association through the Bridge to Hospitality Careers program and are now Certified Guest Service Professionals!
