This original script by Brigitte Paulus, based on the story by Robert Louis Stevenson, follows Dr. Henry Jekyll, a respected and wealthy doctor who becomes fascinated by the idea that every person has both good and evil sides. SPHS Drama Club students bring to life the story of Jekyll and his transformation into Hyde; a cruel and violent man who feels free to act on his darkest impulses. As Hyde's behavior becomes increasingly violent, the transformations become harder to control. Will Dr. Jekyll maintain control over the notorious Mr Hyde? Or will he succumb to the shadows within?
Set in Victorian London; student designed lights, sounds, and original music add to the spooky atmosphere of the show. Perfect for Halloween weekend! Come early to experience our interactive Olde London lobby, with an apothecary, sweetshop, photobooth and more. Costumes are encouraged. How spooky can you be?
Content Warning: This show involves moments and themes of darkness, violence, and murder. It is recommended for ages 11 and up. The performance also includes fog, haze, and flashing lights.
